Nikon cost-cutting down to their websites?

Have you all noticed that ever since the introduction of the D4S and the D3300 Nikon has stopped posting detailed product pages on all their websites? With their previous releases they used to describe every single feature on each body at depth and length, sometimes even with prose, pointing out things that are not even mentioned in the manuals. For example, I wanted to know which AF points on my D5500 are cross-type to troubleshoot why I am getting inconsistent AF, I couldn't find an exact mention on the manual, much less on the global nor on the USA product pages. I had to go to the D7000 product page to find out that they were 9 cross-type points at the center. It's like they don't even care about selling the cameras anymore. WTF Nikon?
