Hi everyone,

I recently bought a Coolpix S4100 cam. I need to record a continuous. video for approx 1.5 to 2 hrs. When i put up a 4gb sd card, the video recording time limit is ~8 mins for 720p and ~ 25 mins for VGA. Even when i tried a 16gb sd card the video recording limit for a single continuous video remains the same,i.e, ~8 mins for 720p and ~25 mins for VGA.

Is it possible to increase the recording time for a single continuous video shoot to atleast 1.5 hours or more?? Need help.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Thank you

I doubt the battery would last long enough even if you could record longer.
If I take a good photo it's not my camera's fault.

I once heard that there is a limit for recording length in cameras mainly because of tax/customs issues. If the recording time exceeds a certain time limit the camera would not be taxed at customs as a photo camera but as a video camera.

So if you need unlimited recording time you will have to get a real video camera.
