I'd like to see some 'real-world' hi ISO images please - just to see how high we can go and how well we treat the images while maintaining reasonable image quality.
Here's one of mine: D3s 8000 ISO
Cameras, lenses and stuff. (I actually met someone once who had touched a real Leica lens cloth.)
I'm afraid 800 was the end of usability on my trusty D2Xs, and even those were barely acceptable. I still use it, but I don't amplify squat with it. It takes fabulous pictures if I stay at ISO 100 and DON'T enlarge beyond 10"x15". Oh, and if I stay within scenes that don't blow beyond about 7-8 stops of DR. She's almost 11 years old now and still rockin'.

Still came out pretty nice I think.
Also on the D40 at ISO 1600.
Nice image Ironheart.
