We do not appreciate the free publicity angle.....but...this looks like a development project which may prove useful for some NRF members. Does this work only on a Windows OS or do you have a Mac system for tethering to an iPad?
Sorry for pub, was with good intention. It is only for windows system and no plan to port to a Mac system, but IPad /IPhone can be used as remote in combination with a windows PC.
Yes, works good with the D600, but I already had the ControlMyNikon program.
Live view remote via my Samsung Note is working but useless, because you don't see the picture (or I cannot find it). To move the focus point you have to do it on the attached computer where you see the picture.
Those who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it!
For those looking for a tethering alternative for Mac, check out the Sofortbild app: http://www.sofortbildapp.com
Since Aperture always loses contact with my D800, I'm using that app. It can also forward the image directly to Aperture (or any other editor, I guess).
Basically it is a CamRanger without the price tag. I use this for my set shots over feeders here at home. Nice to sit away from the camera so the birds are more relaxed.
