Are there actually any schematic diagrams of any of the recent DSLRs? Would love to see one too, out of mere interest. I don't think I'd ever dare to "repair" something on a non-mechanical camera...
A schematic brakedown of the camera might be part of the patent for that camera. This might be a way to get the diagrams. (Not that I know how to request patents)
Edit: Google did turn up a patent for what looks like a D4. It does not have an exploded view but does provide some technical views that show how the components are positioned. It's worth a look. http://d800.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/US20110194020A1.pdf
Some people are mental, I just find the workings fascinating of most things. Wouldn't mind a schematic of a woman either, just to see how they work......
Ha, only just saw this reply! You're so right, the only person that can understand a woman is another woman. But that'd be a whole new ballgame.........
Have been married to the same one for 22+ years. You'd think by now I'd be familiar with the UI. Alas, I commit operator error almost daily. Seems the manual is a continually evolving document.

The closest that I found was a partially transparant view:

A schematic will be of no use......
