    You will be using your RRS equipment through several generations of digital camera bodies. Thom is right on, get good support equipment first and stop worrying about it.

    I have a 'tripod graveyard' of cheaper equipment in my basement as testimony to this wisdom.

    Currently using assorted Gitzo, RRS, Acratech , Markin in various combinations.

    I will be ordering the LC-A13 shortly.
