Remote video start/stop on a D5200

I know that the WR-R10 & WR-T10 will allow remote triggering of the shutter as well as video start/stop, but at about $200 for them both it is a bit exy. Is thre any after market remotes (even wired will do) that allow video control?

I think you are right. There are a couple of apps from the playstore that will work I think.

Look at a jupio battery grip for a D5200
it has a remote (infrared) and triggers video (or photo) after changing standard settings
