Hi folks, I have a new video today for you on Maui!

Maui HD - House of the Sun (Timelapse with the D800)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGG825Hg490&hd=1

I shot this over a week with the Nikon D800 and the 14-24mm f/2.8G, as well as with the 24mm f/1.4G. Originally I had intended to just relax here, but I soon found the beauty of the place too inspiring not to shoot! Some parts of Maui are really spectacular - the "Road to Hana" is miles of lush jungle. I wish I had more time to shoot, there were quite a few beautiful panoramic vistas, but the island is surprisingly massive (it takes 10 hours just to drive around)!

The video was edited in Premiere. Timelapse sequences were done with the Panolapse program to create the panning motion.

Critiques & comments welcome!

+1. I have driven the road to Hana and recognized some of the falls. You did a good job. I liked it.

@precip2ce - What underwater housing did you use? I'm a diver and love underwater photography but I'm too scared to take my D800 down with me.

The few underwater shots were done with the GoPro 3 Black. It works well enough for a few quick shots. Everything else was the D800, with the 14-24 & 24.
