Sticking D7K live view toggle

Recently the live view toggle switch on my D7K has started sticking when it is rotated to the right. It will not go back to the leftward position without physically moving it there about half-way.

Very annoying when shooting video.

Thoughts about how to work through this issue without a trip to Nikon or some home disassembly?

I didn't find a solution in the search function, Nikonforums.com or DPreview.com or Photo.com.

Ideas? Thanks.

Have not had this issue with my D7000. Did something get spilled on it?

I must say, the best solution is to take/send it to Nikon and have them fix it. In fact, during that process, they will inspect the body and make sure everything is working as it should. You may even want to send in your lenses and have them tested and calibrated to the body itself.

Agree with Golf007sd, send it to Nikon and they will replace the outer skin of the body so any wear marks and sweat marks and grime will be gone and your D7000 will look brand new...except for marks on the top or bottom plate.

Thanks guys. I will eventually do that. However, I was wishing for an easy quick solution as a heavy season of video interviews for street painting event is just starting and will go until close to Christmas. Thus, being without a camera is not am option. If it really starts to drive me nuts, I will have to send it in and rent a body for a month until I see my own camera again.

    Again, thanks.
