best lens on a 7100 for fireworks/night time city shots?

    I have had the best luck with the 12-24 Nikkor on the D7100 on fireworks. Also that includes video on fireworks. Why that wide? If you are close to where the mortars launch the wide can include the expansive explosions, etc. The other wides like the 10-24 recent Nikkor would work well as would some of the other brands. attested to. I usually bias the lighting to darken the sky so they look right.
