Nikon or Canon Lens Mug?

I know I'll never get my grips on a Nikon Clock (Please let me know how or where?), love those tic tocs...
Ah but perhaps one of these fine lens mugs will have to do. Would you choose a nifty Nikon, or the cool Canon?

Remember the binoculars that you could fill with liquid refreshments?
These are very much better than that silly invention. Don't you think so?
Well, If you ask me... I'd drink to that... Hahaha

Always pick the Nikon mug. A few months ago they were for sale on eBay.

I use the Canon mug. I'd love a Nikon clock. I'm going to try to register for one on my coming trip to Japan next week, but maybe owning a Canon mug will disqualify me....

Drinking coffee from either one will increase your shudder speed.

I have two versions of the Nikon mug and from a coolness perspective…really nice. But, they tip over easily when sitting on the "rear cap" and have a less than convenient cap, not always a good seal.

One of mine actually zooms…for extra "cool" factor…LOL.. ~O)

Meh, I'm not getting paid by Nikon, why advertise for them?
If I take a good photo it's not my camera's fault.

With that mind set then one should never posses any item that has a logo on it. Hence, your shoes, watches, the symbol on your car, a base ball cap, etc...etc.

You buy such items because 1) you have a use for it 2) its design 3) you are a fan of the company.

I have need of a mug, but I get generic non-branded ones. It's not because I don't like Nikon, I just don't see the need to advertize for them. My gear does that enough already. :))

@PB_PM: Agreed. Personally, I would not buy such a mug either...the look just does not appeal to me. I like the one I have with my MB logo on it better :P

I own the Nikon 24-70 mug that cost me around $10 I believe on eBay. I dropped it last Christmas right in front of my brother pretending to be devastated claiming that it was a real lens and I had him fooled :)

Even up close they can fool quite a few people. Great product although made in China so I hope it is not full of lead or anything. I've been drinking out of it for nearly 2 years now.

    Both of mine were gifts….

Now for some, a 400mm f/2.8 beer pitcher may be what is desired…. :))

I would be nervous about leaving one of these in my car's cup holders, in that it might make an enticing target for a thief who thought he was scoring an $1,800 lens.

I think the Nikon mug would suit me well.
If it extends out like a telephoto lens, can you put more "juice" in it?

    Cleptomaniacs:
I would much rather have them steal my lens mug, than my expensive bow case full of pricey arrows and archery gear.

Even though theft is one of those top ten things, Not to do...
People still feel it's ok to "borrow" my stuff!!
Perhaps we should adopt the Eastern philosophy, and politely remove those items and place them in the trunk.
For if we catch you stealing, we will also politely and with care, remove your fingers,,, one at a time!! Smile

They are great at scaring fellow photographers. "hey you got a new lens". Me -"Yes, Catch!" I have 2 of em but they are the crappy 1st gen. Being a big fan of mugs I will get something unique.
