edited December 2013 in Nikon DSLR cameras
Three times this year the D800 was sold refurbished for $2000, sadly, my decision to buy one was made after it
(correction it was 2 times @ 2000 from roberts camera and one time for $2100 from nikon directly)

do these things happen often? should i just go buy retail or wait a couple weeks?

Thanks!

@realized: Refurbished D800 Nikon bodies are fine. I would just make sure you get one with the least number of shutter count.

yeah ive heard nothing but great things about nikon refurbished products

and the price of (if i can find it) $2000/2100 vs $2795 (new) is worth it for a 90 day warranty or whatever it is.

im just not sure how long i have to wait for the $2000 deal again.. or if it will even come back around?

i know somebody that almost got a refurbished d800 for 2200 a year or so ago but he waited a week to long to decide. Try adorama with an extended warranty if you feel its worth a try. shutter count was under 500 btw

Just a thought: Every day you wait for this deal and don't get it is a day you're not shooting with a D800.
