    It's typical with the fixed pricing that the NYC dealers are tossing in extras at no additional cost i.e. backpack, or should bag, extra battery, tripod and memory card. Right now that is $160 in accessories for free. Plus you need to check to see if B&H and Adorama has for their Rewards program. Right now with B&H it's 4%. So in 60 days you get email notification that your gift card is available. 4% of $2,696.95 can buy a filter or other accessories.

    The problem is no camera store in my area has D800 in stock. Unlike D800 which being priced the same anywhere, I found one of the internet retailers is selling the TAMRON lens $300 cheaper.
    Careful about the internet. Some sellers will give you an import without warranty cover. If it cheaper than B&H or Adorama, it is probably too good to be true. If it is not, then buy from them (or another reputable dealer that someone on this forum recommends).
