Have you used a photography turntable?

I was intrigued by these revolving photography turntables.
Just curious what benefit they bring for photographing objects and items for sale?

I haven't been using them, though the main benefit is to automate the whole process of creating 360 animations you can see in some online shops. If you try to shoot a 360 animation w/o one of this tables (not particularly this brand) you may encounter some stitching problems. with such software and hardware solution you can basically cut your time and get more $$$ per hour.

I guess you could try the same thing with a lazy susan, it's just much less precise.

I guess they could be used for time laps as well.

Yes a Lazy Susan would work too, but it doesn't revolve on its own, nor does it light up from below, around the subject.

Obviously there are several sizes to suit the user and these would also be great for any one who has an ebay account, or for those who might work in the actual product advertising industry.

Modern concepts often ~ always amaze and ammuse me.

What makes the world go around?
