Actually, the IP address will be misleading in many situations. I have several and these vary as I travel. But, if one wants to know where I live, it is on the map. Potential burglars may wish to observe some care, however, as there are several hi-def security cameras connected to a very sophisticated security system.
I'm on now too, on page 2 though, alongside a chap who appears to live underwater (mk2pop)?
Perhaps uniquely though, my icon actually sits on top of my head, as the Streetview car went past as I was eating a sandwich at the side of the road in October last year so you can actually view me on there. It's not pretty, but its what I do: I eat sandwiches.
Hahaha, it's so funny how US people always put the US in the middle of a world map and then the rest of the world is cut apart in the middle of the continent, and you have Europe and Eurasia on the right and Asia on the left.
(That was the default view when I opened the photo locations map.)
Uh, when I open it, I was in the middle of the Pacific which is where I am. Google try's to determine your location and centers it there. Where are you in the world for real?
It looks okay to me, Andrew, but if you let me know what's wrong with it I'll try and change it. I last backed up the KML file in October so if it's completely ruined I could probably find a way to revert to that version.
CC is welcome. DC is also welcome when I deserve it.
Hi Jonny, I posted that back in October and Tommie PM'd me some help but like Tao says the eejit changed the icon too. Mine is the crocodile in north west France.
@Msmoto: Hi Tommie, The marker is in the right place, but I would like to replace the crocs head with the nomal place marker. I note Skintbrit is showing in northern France or Belgium now - somebody is mucking around with peoples markers. I have put that marker you moved to London back in France where it started, but someone will move it probably. @jonnyapple: Is there a way to lock the place markers?
Unfortunately not, @spraynpray, with the editing being open to all. No one place anything new on the map for a few minutes and I'll reset all the icons to the blue pin. There's nothing to keep someone from doing it again, though.
