European Warranty Question - Ireland/Italy

I am hoping someone can put my mind at ease as I can't phone anyone in Nikon til Monday. Basically, I just wanted to clarify that my understanding of Nikons European Warranty is correct. Specifically that the D800 I purchased a few months ago in Italy can be serviced under warranty here in Ireland (for the first year anyway). I have the broken 10pin connector issue and really want to get it fixed before I fly out in a week or so.

shouldn't be a problem as You should have EU warranty along with Your cam.

I'm going to call them first thing tomorrow so good to have a bit more info. Hopefully they can get it back to me in time now!

Yep, Adamz is right, so long as your warranty card says "Nikon Europe NV" you can go to any repair centre in the union.
