I just received my new lens from amazon by Nikon. Upon inspection, I found a fibre like particle behind the front element. Use link to see photo. Should I return lens OR not worry since it will eventually get dust anyways? Thoughts?

Personally, if I get something new, I expect it to be perfect. Given Amazon's policies, I'd return it. And if it is new, go to a camera store you trust and buy it there. Nikon's pricing policy pretty much assures close to the same prices, assuring competition via service. And if you are in the US, make sure it has a USA warranty.
Amazon has pretty easy return policy. You could even call them and explain the problem. Say you want a replacement with free shipping (if it didn't already have it).
