Nikon D3100 low light settings

Hello i have a friend who has a little one in the NICU and I'm
supposed to do some photos for her this evening. I don't know what settings would be best for my camera.
I have the Nikon 3100 and the kit lens. Please help I want these to be great for her. The lighting is kept very low and I can not
Use the flash.

I would suggest some test shots, in a room with similar light
using the following setting
RAW or RAW + jpeg
AUTO ISO no max iso (3200)
f 5.6 Aaperture-priority auto (A);
WB white Balance AUTO
to avoid camera shake, if possible sit rather than stand

It should do but to be 100 % sure, just hold it down with a bit of tape
