Are you buying it or do you own it ? If you own it and it works fine. If you are buying it then ensure you can return it if it throws up an error message ..ie use ebay and dont buy from china as very hard to return. In truth you cannot tell from the printing.
I had doubts about a battery I bought when I started with Nikon and so I took high-res pics and sent them to Nikon at their request. they spotted a tiny-weeny difference in the text that was apparently a common mistake the Chinese make when trying to copy Japanese and they pronounced it a fake. Unbelievably accurate counterfeiting. These days, they are even better. The only way I know of being sure is to buy from a genuine Nikon Dealer and not off ebay or Amazon.
I know people who use non Nikon batteries without issues and hear about people that do have problems with non-Nikon batteries. +1 for spraynpray's comments regarding eBay or Amazon.
