Okay, new thread here... followup to Aperture discussion:

Apple announced the general availability of OS 10^3 Beta starting tomorrow. You can find more here:

So, this *may* be an opportunity to get an early hands-on look at Photos. Wish I had the time to play with it.

If you install the beta AND it has a workable early version of Photos, please give all your friends here your impression(s).

Nope, 'cause Photos is not part of Yosemite...

Photos is not part of the Yosemite pre-release software, and is not shipping with the OS itself. Photo's will not be available until early 2015.
