I was using my D7100 today taking videos when it suddenly developed this weird horizontal line across all images that it took. The camera never moved or anything. I had it on a stationary tripod for a couple hours and towards the end of the session this line started to pop up. I tried to use several different lens and do a sensor cleaning via the menu system on the camera; however, this did not solve the issue.
I tried to search through the forums for an issue similar to this, but i couldn't find a thread, so please forgive me if this is redundant in any way.
Do you guys think that the sensor is damaged in some way or is something else wrong?
Thanks.

For sure it looks like a scratch, except that it is so straight it has me suspicious that it isn't.
Yours is just bad luck.
@spraynpray: I just used the self clean option in the menu. I did not touch anything physically on the camera (sensor, mirror, etc) as I'm not a trained technician for cleaning or maintenance, and I did not want to further damage my camera. Also, it doesn't show up in these images that I have posted, but the dead pixels are from edge to edge now.
@Ironheart: Yes, i tried both a full reset and pulling the battery. No effect.
Thanks for all the feedback
