Is this a known problem?

NX-D isn't the most stable program right now. I think you'll have to wait for an update.
If I take a good photo it's not my camera's fault.

    10.9.4
Also had problems with not be able to tag photos plus filters sometimes do not always grab all that are tagged. Are these issues noted by others?

I could also start a list of additions/adjustments to the interface I would like to see

I am on 10.8.5 (on mac mini 4 core i7, 16gb ram), and having no stability issues yet with NX-D, however the UI might drive me to become unstable.

It is clearly a workflow designed by someone who may be clever, but has never processed more than one photo at a time. The sidecar files in a separate directory are an abomination. NX2 workflow is better, which is sad indeed.

It crashes a lot on both of my MacBooks too. Not very stable at all.

After the first update (1.1?) it seemed to settle down for me. I haven't crashed it in awhile now (knock wood).
