Does Nikon typically announce all it's new products before Photokina or are there possibly some more surprises in store for us over the course of next week?

There aren't any more announcements expected from Nikon. Typically they don't announce anything at the actual show, but rather use it as a platform to show off the new stuff announced just before it.
If I take a good photo it's not my camera's fault.

No chance for the D9300. You are beating a "dead horse" there will not be a D9300.

The Panasonic LX100 was a surprise to me. That stuff is what should be in the Coolpix line up.

It's smaller than the Canon Powershot G1X but bigger than the Sony RX100. I think it's a decent trade off for a bigger than 1 inch sensor.

+1 - I think the best DX shooters can hope for is that the D7200 is a significant upgrade.
