I just purchased this camera a couple days ago. All i can say is WOW! Coming from a Sony a77 and never having owned a full frame camera I could not be happier with the purchase. I previously owned a D7100 so the Nikon menu system was not unfamiliar to me and made it easy to navigate around the camera for initial setup and use. Low light performance is incredible! I did not have any lenses for Nikon so i purchased the 24-120 f4 kit lens with the camera just to have an all around lens to start with. I can see my interest and photography enthusiasm going to new levels with this camera as i can now take photos of subjects that i just could not achieve with my a77 or the old d7100. It will be very interesting to put some high end glass in front of this camera.
Nikon D7100 (Gone), Sony A77, 18-140 mm f3.5-5.6, 50 mm f1.8, 18 - 55 mm f3.5 - 5.6, 55 - 200 mm f4 - 5.6, Lowpro bags, tripods and speedlights..cleaning assories ect.

Can you post a couple of images please - one from the D7100 and one from the D750 so we can see the difference in the same situation? I get good results out of my D7100 but if the D750 is a huge step ahead of it, I will jump sooner rather than later.
@snorbo - Congrats on the new DSLR. Look forward to seeing some of your pictures on PAD.
Don't know your budget or what type of photography you shoot but suggest you consider these lens: Nikon 70-200 F2.8 or F4 Nikon 85mm F 1.8 Nikon 35mm F 1.8 or the Sigma Art lens Nikon 50mm F 1.8 unless you plan to shoot lots at 50mm, then consider the Sigma Art lens. Nikon 105mm Macro Finally, consider the Nikon 14-24mm F2.8 or 16-35 F4 if your budget is tight That should give you lots to think about

Jump now. I just picked one up last week and its amazing. Best AF I'v ever used and it really does pick up focus nicely in low light. ISO 12, 8000 is actually quite usable, so ISO performance is definitely improved. Selling my D7100 promptly and don't feel like I've lost a whole lot compared to what I had with the D800. Then I play the waiting game for A 50MP beast. :P
@SquamishPhoto: I'd like to see some really low light interior shots if you have any please (think English churches in the winter). The consistent praise I read for the focus system has got me salivating.
That video doesn't mean much. For sure any camera will have a problem focussing if there are too few photons around and especially if you don't use the cross type focus point. It is a contrast based system after all so if there is hardly any contrast and you use the least sensitive focus points, you will get a problem. Now if that vid had some meaningful light level data or comparisons with other DSLRs, it may be worth something but as it is, it isn't worth anything IMHO.
I did a focus system comparison between my D7000 and my D7100 in the dark one night. I used the centre focus point and set both cameras the same using the exact same lens. The difference was startling.
Roberto, Nice review, I read it a day after I got my D750. I thought it was fair and accurite. I believe you may be able to find a camera that is better in one aspect or another but I think Nikon got this one right it's a good compromise. For me it gives me certianly more camera than I need. Love it!
Thank you for this JustRob. Reviews and insights like this are what this blog site is all about. The D750 certainly looks like a great camera added to the current Nikon lineup. I shoot primarily with a D810, but a D750 certainly looks like a capable second or 3rd body option thats for sure

Thanks Kanuck, very happy about that! I think it's a good choice to have the D750 as second body ;-)
Had the pleasure of holding this body in my hand for the first time last night, courtesy of a guest I was assisting. In the very shot time I had it in my hand, with the 24-70 2.8 mounted...I liked it. I agree with JustRob assessment on this body.
All, Got my new issue of Popular Photography yesterday. They completed their full test on the Nikon D750. Also compared it to a more expensive Canon and the D750 was picked as the better camera. You will not believe the noise level ratings at medium and high end ISO values. Really really really low.
I have got to run and go to the hospital to see the wife but will leave detailed ratings later tonight.
See the Nikon D750 -- General Discussion forum for the test results.

Don't know your budget or what type of photography you shoot but suggest you consider these lens:
Nikon 70-200 F2.8 or F4
Nikon 85mm F 1.8
Nikon 35mm F 1.8 or the Sigma Art lens
Nikon 50mm F 1.8 unless you plan to shoot lots at 50mm, then consider the Sigma Art lens.
Nikon 105mm Macro
Finally, consider the Nikon 14-24mm F2.8 or 16-35 F4 if your budget is tight
That should give you lots to think about
