I happened to catch that Best Buy and Target have already released their adds for the up and coming madness. Some of the usb sticks and sandisk memory cards seem reasonably priced at Best Buy.
Does anyone else comparison shop around this time of year or just find shopping at different times of year to purchase electronics related items to be a safer bet?
Thanks, I had not heard of mySimon. I use pcpartpicker when searching for computer related components.
In the Best Buy ad, I saw some of the sdxc USH 1 cards for $40 for 64GB or less depending on size, and that seems to me like a good deal, but I haven't been keeping up with the transfer rates or capacity technologies lately.
My only comment on BB memory cards...know what you getting. They tend to sell low and mid range memory cards and not the fast ones. However, saying that, I have seen a few fast cards at the local store but thin inventory. Size is one thing (64GB, 32GB, 16GB) but speed is something different.

Totally agree with you on that, and that is part of my concern with the apparent "cheap" prices. Do you use any of the sandisk extreme plus or pro series cards? I have older extreme pro UHS 1 cards but they can only reach 45MB/s.
Egh...doesn't sound like a stellar price. I know Amazon had the d7100 for $799 last year which I should have bought and didn't. Unless you want some tv that probably isn't that great anyway I haven't noticed any great black Friday deals that seem better than what you can normally find with some patience and looking.
I got some Samsung cards a little while back for under $20 for 32gb and $10 for 16 gb.
I do not mind posting good deals you guys come across, but please make sure they are from respectable sellers and hyperlink the content. Please give a description of the item and then attach the link. Please reframe from just pasting a URL.

Nikon D750 Gray Market. $1,846.95 Import - 1 year NON Nikon warranty free: soft case and SanDisk 16GB Ultra memory card Free shipping
This is the first I have seen a price on a gray market D750. Edited to add this note: Years ago Ritz Camera was good, but as Peter said, they have filed for bankruptcy twice. Therefore, I urge caution if your considering this deal. You may want to check eBay prices first.

Fickle Even brand new cameras aren’t safe, just ask Nikon D600, purchased just a few months ago. “I was so happy to be chosen by Owner. He seemed like a real camera guy. I made a lot of friends with Owner’s other cameras, a Nikon D300, a Fuji X100, even an old Nikon FM. Oh, the stories the FM told about the PD (Pre-Digital) days.”
Owner and D600 took a lot of photos at first, often with another camera. “It was a lot of fun. We’d all go out in a big bag, and we’d take photos of brick walls, leaves, and tree bark. Back home, Owner would set up a home studio and we’d take turns taking pictures of newspapers and dolls.” D600 sits back, think a little, then adds, “Yeah, I know…we weren’t jumping out of a helicopter in a conflict zone or capturing the winning touchdown, but I was out a lot, getting some exercise and a lot of light.”
Despite the activity, D600 has some nagging doubts about how long this will last. “The other cameras and I talk a lot on our trips. They’re happy enough, but I can see it in their sensors; there’s something missing. Lately, I’ve seen Owner reading reviews of the Nikon Df, and I can see the glint in his eye. On the message boards, he writes about needing a ‘backup body,’ but who are we kidding; we all know what that means.” He’s trying to hide it, but D600 is obviously anxious, spitting as he speaks.
D600 is ambivalent about his future. “Yeah, it’s nice enough here. But to be honest, I was hoping for a little more adventure, if you know what I mean. We’ll see what happens on Black Friday. It’s a camera eat camera world out there.”

The $800 deal has a code- D7000DEAL
The 2 lens includes the 18-140 and the 55-300 for $1100 kit has this code- NIKONDEAL
I don't know how well the 55-300 performs though.
Edit- looks like the 2 lens kit includes a free 32 gig Sandisk card and a Lowepro Format 160 bag. That's quite a deal.
Thank you
