Old Lens for D 600

I recently purchased a D600 and so far after 600 actuation no oil problems. Great camera and so far happy with purchase. I was noticing that it is backwards compatable with older Nikkor lenses. I have several old prime lenses from my original Nikkormat FT-2 and was wondering if these would work on the D-600. Only marking on the lens is Nikkor 50mm 1:1.4. Also, I was wondering what would be a better SDHC card for the camera. Sandisk Extreme at transfer rate of 45 mbps or the Sandisk Extreme Pro at 90 mbps. The latter is double the proice and I am not a professional. I will be using the camera for personal video.

If you want to use your old lenses on the D600 they need to be at least AI converted - this meant how the aperture is coupled to the camera. I know that there are some websites around that show how to find out if you got a pre-AI lens or not. If it is pre-AI it might damage your camera, so please google for those sites (I don't have any address at hand but I might be able to post some later today). You might also have a look at the manual of you camera on the use of manual focus lenses on the D600.

I can't comment on the SD card question.
