USA lenses with or without "US"

All my lenses besides my last two have a "US" preceding the serial number. The last two, the AFS 70-200 VRII and AFS 20mm 1.8G don't. Should I be concerned that I didn't get the US version that I ordered? They both came with the USA 5 year warranty slips in the box.

Can you guys look at your newer lens purchases and see if the serial numbers are preceded with a US or not?

Some do, some don't. If you have the bill of sale from a reputable dealer, you are fine. Why not register them online now? That will tell the tale for sure

A new G model with a serial number that starts with 6 or 56 or 86 should be a USA model. There may be others.

Other D's should have US before the number.

I did register the lenses. I'm probably just over thinking this, after all I do have the USA warranty cards with the serial numbers printed on them. And I did buy from reputable authorized dealers.

Both lenses that don't start with US start with 20.
