D750 Photos out of order?

I just got back from a weekend where I was shooting several events with C-High mode. Everything looked hunky-dory on the back of the camera, but when I loaded the pictures into lightroom (5) the photo numbers were reversed for each second.

Here is what I mean (Example is based on true chronological order)

IMG_2
IMG_1
17:05:02
IMG_8
IMG_7
IMG_6
IMG_5
IMG_4
17:05:03
IMG_11
IMG_10
IMG_9

As you can imagine, this is quite annoying, and made my head hurt trying to upload action sequences in chronological order.
Has anyone ever had this happen?

It almost seems to me that the buffer is emptying out of chronological order. I haven't tried any particular fix yet, though I will be updating my firmware once this new nikon firmware program gets off the ground.

Did you lose any photos or was the ordering just weird? I think you should try a hard reset of the camera. Press the two buttons with green dots and hold it for a few seconds.

I didn't lose any pictures at all... my numbering was just messed up.

I did a quick test again today and the numbering is still jenky. I'll try a hard reset and see what happens.

Drop Nikon Tech Support an email and see what they suggest. Sorry to hear about your issue. I have not seen this on mine.
