Where can I order the Nikon RMS to Leica and Leica to F mount adapters? ( for using the microscope lenses on my DSLR? I actually had to have a friend machine me some adaptors for an enlarger lens.

Can one use a Leica lens on a Nikon? The Leica flange to sensor distance is 27.8mm and Nikon F mount, 46.5mm.

I thought so too- there's a reason why we don't hear people use Leica glass on Nikon. People use it on mirrorless all the time though.

I wonder if there's a converter for Nikon 1 mount- maybe add a reverse teleconverter (like a Metabones) to get a wider view back.

Edit- I was looking at the Metabones website and they don't do Leica rangefinder converters, so it might not be physically possible.

I was looking at the blog post on here a few days for those rare Nikon macro/micro lenses, they can be adapted to work with F mount with 2 or 3 adapter rings.

@snowleopard, for a macro setup, a bit of extra depth at the flange is okay, might even allow you to focus closer. You can physically adapt any lens to any mount with enough time and money and a decent lathe (or a bunch of gaffers tape). What you will loose is the ability to focus at infinity if you extend the mount too far forward.

@snowleopard, I was re-reading your original post, and I think the leica thing was throwing us all for a loop. If you want to put a microscope objective on an f-mount camera, you can do that directly:

All I did was google "RMS to f-mount adapter"
