The power of the 200 F2 is just mind blowing. This image was shot threw a 3 1/2 inch ugly looking plexiglass. Yet look at what is delivers. If look very close at the eye, you will see me standing their taking the shot. Yes ladies and gents, this lens is without question in a class all of its own.
Please forgive my lack of participation on the forums....coming back home last month, then having to move and dealing with work has get me off the forum. My apologies
I was sifting through my old pictures and found this. 2003 or so, taken with a HP point-n-shoot. I'd brought a brand new Coolpix to this location, and dropped it calamitously On The First Day! But you didn't need a fancy camera to shoot these sunsets...
I have found that there are 4 types of photographers: Those who use a light meter and those who do not. Then those two groups are divided into "you are an idiot if you don't do as I do" and "this is what I do, it works for me, you do what is best for you" :-) Point of that intro wasn't to poke a finger at anyone by no means, but since I don't use a light meter I do test shoot and normally say something like "just going to check the light, just relax" I've found a few times that those can turn out pretty good as the model/client do relax :-) First shot of the day with Ida, processed partly with Topaz Impression

I used a polarized filter for the first time last weekend and was pleasantly surprised at the detail and effect it produced. It'll be staying on the lens for the rest of the season.
Last Saturday, I had the honor of holding my great grand-daughter about 15 hours after she was born. Unbelievable feeling. My wife shot this with my iPhone...
