    Nice job MsMoto.
In my early film days I was a master of prime lens. When every buddy went zoom I stayed with prime lens because of the IQ, especially sharpness. Then as the HS band photographer (daughter nu band) for the second year and I got a zoom lens because it was easier. Five years later had one prime and all zooms. Now I have really good zoom lens but my prime lens are growing. I am thinking of the 300 F4 PF and the 85 F1.8. I find it fascinating that I am reverting back to prime lens. Maybe due to the addition of FX late last year. Anyway, it's good to use prime lens since I believe it makes you work on your composition skills.

This is a discussion of the attributes of a couple of lenses and if selling a lens to purchase another is the thing to do. Our task is quite difficult, as I tend to use the lens I think will work. At a motorsports event, this could be anywhere from wide to very long. Totally dependent upon the task at hand.

There is one race venue where the 70-200 is an absolute must, as the field changes so rapidly from near to far, and I cannot walk out onto a hot track to get closer.....nor would I....LOL (Think "Rear Window" the movie.

I suspect that a 50 mm Sigma could do almost everything an 85 could do, and in crop mode, it functions like a 75mm. So, I would support the change to get the Siggy.
