1. Do any, and if so what, Nikon camera(s) have a flash sync speed higher than 1/250s? 2. What was the first Nikon DSLR to use a CMOS sensor? 3. What was the first Nikon tilt shift (PC) lens?
If I take a good photo it's not my camera's fault.

1) quite a few -- I think all the ccd nikon dslr had 1/500 flash sync and a few could go much higher (my d70 could sync at 1/8000!) I think the current DX D7xxx can sync at 1/320. Then there is High speed Sync mode but I don't think that is what you mean. I have a feeling at the back of my teeth, that some of the later film SLR also could do 1/280 or 1/300 sync F4/F5/F6? maybe FE2 ?
2) not sure, I am guessing D3/D300 ?
3) dunno - totally guessing 35mm?

1. Partly correction, but not all CCD models had 1/500s sync. The D1 series, D70, D70s, D50 and D40 are the only DSLR's with a native 1/500s sync speed. All other Nikon DSLR's are 1/250s, or slower, for native sync speed. I'm not counting Auto FP modes (aka 1/320s etc). 2. Nope 3. Yes

Here's a good one: Name the three settings that can affect a RAW file, other than the exposure triangle and bit-depth settings (14/12, compression)
It cannot be white balance, since those settings have no affect. Not colour space, since all RAW files have a wider colour space than sRGB or Adobe RGB. It is not picture controls, vignetting control, distortion correction, and Active D-Lighting since they do not matter, unless you use Nikon software. Okay, Active D-Lighting does mess with the exposure, but you said things other than the exposure triangle, so no. We will also throw out sRAW (which isn't really RAW) since that could fall under bit-depth/compression.
So yeah, here they are. 1. High ISO Noise Reduction 2. Long Exposure Noise Reduction 3. Multiple Exposure shooting mode oh and bonus round 4. Using "Lo" ISO or "Hi" ISO sensitivity settings, which use exposure boot or reduction of the exposure after the fact.

The first D400 rumor came out, before the D300s, so that is a tough one. I believe it was sometime in the summer of 2008. I remember this vaguely because I had a D300 and wanted to know when the successor was coming out. It's what brought me to Nikon rumors in the first place, and gosh I'm still waiting.
