Monkey @ Swayambhunath temple, Kathmandu, Nepal - Tempel was seriously damaged last week
I'm still gathering funds for my friend Gokul, who lost his house in the earthquake that hit Nepal last year. If you want to help, please check all possibilities here
I followed this hawk around a small section of the park as it flew from post to post in order to protect its meal from bothersome birds that tried desperately to take it away. Once it found a spot and was left alone, the meal was thoroughly enjoyed. D800 | Nikon 70-200mm f/2.8 @ 190mm | f/2.8 | 1/1600 | ISO 800
Hey @calengor, I'm glad the lens worked out for you. This is a great shot. Shooting reds in bright light can be a crap shot, IMO as far as coming out realistic and not nuclear-looking.

The wise thing to do when travelling is to plan ahead, I'm clearly not wise at all :-) There is so much planning going on in my daily life that I just want to go somewhere when I go. Sometimes the trip can be a disaster (which gives us a lot of laughs over the year) or it could be an absolute smashing experience. We (wife, youngest and I) ended up in Gothenburg, Sweden, stayed 2 nights here, this weekend and went to the huge amusement park they got there, Liseberg, and really enjoyed ourselves. Didn't photograph that much, but went out Saturday evening with tripod and camera and just randomly walked when I came across this area.
