Looking to revise my kit re a hoped for 56MP FX so looked into a 24-120 F4 ...Genuine price is £750 but e bay has it grey at £414 ...then for some reason ebay are giving me 10% off so its £372 so its half price ....wonder if you can use a grey import to register for NPS ?
In the Uk Nikon Uk will accept warranties if the supplier has a UK address E-Globel have one and some other Ebay retailers have offices in The Uk ,It's about whether VAT has been paid. I Would agree with above, still check with Nikon to be safe.
Forgetting the e bay discount ..these people must be paying £300 for the lens to "Nikon" so if it had been sold for £750 where did the profit go ? clearly with a Nikkon warrantee Nikon will charge more .... so I got one ..too cheap to refuse ...well; if it goes wrong I can buy another and still be ahead ( well not behind) dont particularly like the lens but if we can go to 56MP I can crop back to 24MP and not have 120mm but 180mm. Will see how we go with NPS
Sorry @Pistnbroke, but I am certain the 24-120 lens will not make it onto the inevitable 'lenses recommended for the Dxxx' list that will come out after the launch of the new body. It is too weak IMHO. The new 24-70 is likely to get that spot.
I agree and I have owned it before but 70mm is way way too short ..it will be fine large jpeg +9.. just as the crappy sigma 17-35 was brilliant with a bit of contrast added on the D800..lets hope I get the chance to try it on a D850
