Replacement viewfinder assembly for D810

I discovered yesterday that I had somehow managed to crack the casing of the viewfinder around the area of the tip screw (I can only imagine I must've knocked it somehow though I don't recall it).

It /looks/ like a straight-forward remove screw, replace part & replace screw but is it possibly for me to buy the part (in the UK) or am I going to have to send it in for repair somewhere?

Advice appreciated...

I believe it's a weak point on the camera. I used a Rt. Angle finder and it acted like a lever and broke that small piece of plastic. Required Nikon service for about $240 plus shipping to them and a little over a week in shop. I posted a photo of the broken part on flickr.

Go to the Nikon UK website and you will see a facility to buy parts. I've never used it, but it must be there for a reason. ;-)

Viewfinder entire assembly?? Are you certain entire unit trashed?? Look at ebay link, and try alibaba, and amazon. You'd be surprised at availability of parts

Final update on this. I did contact Nikon Parts UK & ended up buying a "Eyepiece Block Unit" (part number 1142N) which cost me less than £30 & took 2 mins to fit. Very happy as I was expecting it to be more expensive! :-D
