Best way to press/trigger the shutter when ....

Thought this would be a fun thread... the "When" could be whatever you want.. maybe something serious with examples and accessories say astro or long exposure or humming birds .... or something fun like "when you fall down a cliff.." or "When you take a selfie..with a D400" ;-)

    ...... When you take a selfie..with a D400.
    You don't need to, you just activate its "everybody is looking at the camera and not blinking" detection and it takes care of everything. It even automagically uploads it to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, DPreview and NikonRumors all at the same time. Didn't you read this in your D400 manual? It's right on page -0.04, section D.

    Right, the "SeeYou" interface .. cool.. ! I think on page 400 it says you just say "Hey Nikon, I see you!"

    But getting better .. had a bit of a stroke. Besides numbness on the right side (mostly gone now thank goodness !) . I lost interest in lots of stuff.. also cant finish a song.. lol seems to loose interest in finishing it :-) other than that all seems normal...

    Everything seems to be getting better.. I am posting on NR again :-) at least I don't have NAS anymore :-)

    (2) ... when the subject is so stunningly, awesomely, beautifully gorgeous that your mouth is dry and your hands are shaking... I am talking about a sunset of course ... but you can imagine what you want .. ;-)

    (2) ... when the subject is so stunningly, awesomely, beautifully gorgeous that your mouth is dry and your hands are shaking... I am talking about a sunset of course ... but you can imagine what you want .. ;-)
    My finger twitches like a little child just waiting to get a bowl of ice cream.

    You must be referring to the 'decisive moment' feature in the latest FW upgrade.
    D810, D3x, 14-24/2.8, 50/1.4D, 24-70/2.8, 24-120/4 VR, 70-200/2.8 VR1, 80-400 G, 200-400/4 VR1, 400/2.8 ED VR G, 105/2 DC, 17-55/2.8.
    Nikon N90s, F100, F, lots of Leica M digital and film stuff.

    Uh, no. You don't need high FPS for sunsets. >:)
