For those like me who couldn't find availability of rebate lenses they want to buy, my local shop called Nikon and says the rebate will be extended to end of Mar (I think they said Mar 30). Don't know if it's true or not so I guess it's JUST a rumor : )
Thanks for your photo Ms Moto. It really left me in a dilemma..
I did more research before I pulled the trigger on a "landscape" lens. I honestly thought I would purchase the 24-70 f/2.8. But I thought long and hard. And ended up with the 24-120 f/4! With the $700 I will save, it will be a nice downpayment on a tripod set-up! Thanks again!
Did anyone else order the 85mm 1.8G during the rebate period? I did and it is still out of stock at Adorama where I ordered it and also at B&H. It seems like there must be a major supply problem. Anyone have any info on this?
I ordered one from Adorama within a few days of the rebate notice and received it in a few days, less than a week. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite lens. Definitely my favorite portrait lens. It's worth the wait.

It looks as if these rebates were extended to March 30th.

My 24-120mm f/4 will be here in a couple days, yay!
A super walk around lens.....I think you will love it!
I looked a lot closer at it, thanks to the advice from you, @Msmoto! I really appreciate your help!
It looks like Tamron is in the lens rebate game too:

The 24-70mm f/2.8 VC is $200 off. I wonder if I should have gotten that rather than the Nikon 24-120mm f/4. Anyone have experience with both?
