I had a break in thursay night ..went through all $15000 of my Nikon gear and left the lot....why ?? Police said it was the Smartwater logos on the camea case that stopped them ...( In UK smartwater is some combination of UV paint and DNA liquid you paint on your gear which is registered to you personally for tracking )
Now you know what do do ....

For me (and likely other Americans) reading your title had a very different meaning:

Hydration as a photographer is important though.
Glad none of your stuff was stolen... maybe they were looking for the mythical D850 or D400

What is the price for the smart water csi. I looked but didn't find it. Also if they do steal it does it come with regular insurance where they would replace it?

It's not insurance, it's a deterrent. The pricing is on the website if you go into the "purchase" area and click on "residential" and then "buy". It's $125 for the first year, and $99 each year thereafter. Some of the services they provide:

Rights to display the SmartWater logo
Exclusive use of the formula registered to you
Support for law enforcement in criminal cases
Free forensic analysis by SmartWater scientists
Exclusive use of Smarticle™ reference number
The cost of SmartWater expert witnesses attending court in support of criminal prosecutions, proving ownership of valuables and recovering SmartWater members’ property
Database maintenance, cost of registration and administration

Anyway, not affiliated etc, but a happy customer (at work). Not for everyone, but definitely something to think about. A little paranoia goes a long way

Sure the D600 has a bad reputation, too bad 90% thieves know next to nothing about DSLR's, other than that they are "big cameras".
