At the NAIAS, on their website the number of views is published. And, the first ones up were the ones folks looked at first, maybe looking at two or three pages, but then falling off. I have one image on Flicker which has been viewed about 3200 times. I do not know why as ti was a snap at ISO 10,000 of a car motor. If I place my images on other websites, the activity goes way up. At NAIAS, I suppose I should have linked my image in other locations so folks would go to this and give me "views".
Mine was viewed about 20 times, the winner was viewed over 200 times... page one vs, page four. Then a couple on page one were viewed 2000 times, an obvious attempt to alter the results as a couple hundred was what page one photos received in general.
There were some very nice photos in the back pages of the contest, yet some of the winners were in my humble opinion, not that great.
