My first ever go at a panoramic at twilight. Had to work quickly with lots of tourists around me (though attendance is limited to 400 on any one night to prevent over crowding) as light changes very quickly. Naturally they all want to shoot the banqueting hall because of its reflections. Had to smile as person after person shooting with a mobile phone used their flashes...fat lot of good it did them!

Nikon D5, 24-70mmG @f8. Light coming from a window. Just wanted to post a photo from the D5. Nothing to look at other than a look at ISO performance. Nothing technical. Other photos at other ISOs in the Flickr Album. This photo is JPEG right out of camera. No PP. ISO 12800.
D800, 14-24mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.4G, 85mm f/1.4G, 70-200mm f/2.8G VR II, TC17E II, D300, DX 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G. Coolpix E5400, some AI lenses from my father.
Close enough to midnight. Wanted to post a night photo with the D5. ISO 25,600. I also shot the same ISO on my D4 and it really doesn't compare. @WestEndFoto I preordered the minute the link went up for B&H. Just got lucky I suppose. I'm glad it arrived so quickly since I'm leaving for Salt Lake City on Thursday and can take it with me.
D800 | Nikkor 70-200mm @ 98mm f/2.8 | 1/320 | ISO 125 Off Camera Flash : SB-910 with Gary Fong Lightsphere triggered by Phottix Odin camera left on low power for shadow fill.
Another D5 shot. No PP, JPG out of camera, full size on Flickr.
Still think it's a great camera. Most negative comments have centered on DR at Low ISOs. I wanted this camera because I don't shoot on a tripod when shooting action and keeping the shutter speed high to freeze action is important. Especially when using apertures at 5.6 or higher and in low light. That's where this camera fits in. It's not a do everything perfect camera. But what is...

The Jewish Quarter is filled with delightful dead ends such as this.
