XQD v1 reader?

I bought some Lexar 1333x XQD cards a while back so I could shoot with backups to a second card but never got around to buying a reader (as I already had a decent CF reader that served my purposes).

Last week I took advantage of the B&H deal on 2933x cards & thought I might as well finally buy a reader as well so picked up the XR2, only to find that it isn't actually compatible with the 1333x cards (also confirmed with Lexar support).

So, I need to either sell on the 1333x cards or get hold of a v1 reader but am now wary of which to buy as nothing is clearly stated anywhere.

Any suggestions folks? FYI I'm UK-based.

AFAIK, there is only one other reader on the market, made by sony. It is compatible across Gen 1 and Gen 2 xqd cards.

What a screw job by Lexar.
