D7100 Focus Pattern Problem

I keep having this problem where I can't move my focus point in the focus pattern.
And then when I try to switch over to full auto focus it locks the camera up.

Anyone else had this problem and know a fix? Thanks!

Is your focus point selector in the L position?
What do you mean by locks up? What do you have to do to get it back?

Thanks Ironheart, that's what it was. I had accidentally knocked it into the L position.
Now I know what the L does. lol Thanks again!

LOL! I did the same thing the other night with my D750 and as I had actually had my D7000 fail in that respect once, I accepted it had failed. Then I got it home in the proper light and realised what the problem was. What a stoopid waste of a switch! Why didn't they give us that switch to lock all controls and dials?

They did spray they gave you gaffer tape ..I keep telling you all tape up those dials/switches..never change a setting just take photos.......
