COOLPIX A900

Seems like a cool little kit to carry around everywhere.. like a tiny baby P900.

20mp 4k video but the same price as the P900.The reason I bought the P900 was for the zoom length and lightness. I cannot believe the quality the camera can give and makes a joke of the heavy gear and I have all that tackle from 800mm downwards.

The sensor size is the same between the A900 and the P900. The sensor is also newer and is BSI so IQ should be better. Also the price is not the same.. the A900 seems cheaper.. it may be more expensive now since its still new.. (not sure if its available in the shops yet) But the price should be similar to the S9900, which looks like its predecessor ( whats with the Coolpix Naming !! )

Comparing the A900 with the P900 zoom.. I think the zoom range of 24-840 is very nice especially for its size. Although some review say that the A900 is not small enough to be "pocketable" I think it could fit in a few of my pockets.. Dont think the P900 has a chance of fitting in pockets..

Could be a very versatile little thing.

In the Uk the P900 discounted is just over £ 300 00 Crazy money for what the camera can do.Its a lot smaller than P900 which can be important to some photographers.
