Had the pleasure of spending a morning shooting with CoastalConn last week while on vacation in Connecticut. Unfortunately, the one picture we were able to get of the two of us was horribly botched by the jogger who we flagged down (how do you get an iPhone out of focus). And even though the osprey were less than cooperative the egrets were active and I got to shoot George, the world's most cooperative bird. Of course, spending a day with him probably cost me several thousand dollars as he let me shoot with his D500 and 500 f/4 (which I think is better than the 300/TC20 combo). Thanks for the tip Kris to switch my focus from d-9 to Group — much better acquisition. Here's an example of what I was able to get.
