This one from the Calgary Stampede Rodeo. I especially like the look on the horse's face:)

An image from last year, but I'm using it to mess with my homebrew raw processor. Particularly, I just build a non-local means denoise tool, and this image was a bit underexposed so the shadows were pretty prickly. Here, denoise applied post-resize, and not too much.

Oh, msmoto, liking the n'awlins shots; I thought of Louisiana as the '50th state' growing up there, didn't really appreciate it's uniqueness until after I left to join the Air Force...

I have never taken pictures of trains before, but seeing this one up in Calgary made me think of some of the ones posted in here...

Nikon D750 at 70mm (24-70 lens). Yes, way way to close, he changed directions on me, grabbed this shot and ran around the SUV for protection.

    Stellar

Drove quite a few miles from my home to find the darkest location near me for this photo. Once I turned the car headlights off - pitch black and quite scary. I will definitely return this winter when there is less humidity in the air.

By my assessment, the grayish haziness mostly on the left and lower areas of the photo consists of clouds. The more abstract whiter area on the upper right of the photo is the Milky Way. At least that's what I think.

    Stellar

Found some time yesterday morning, hoped for some sunrays, but the sky was covered by clouds.

cropped to the bottom of the image, 'cause that's where the subject was. By some miracle, this was still in the frame. -

That artichoke absorbed the seasoning, probably the hottest thing I've ever eaten.
