Posting to August Photo of the Day

I'm new to the forum and am having a hard time finding specific instructions for posting to the August Photo of the Day...plenty of comments but I didn't find an instruction list. I did find instructions through flickr...is flickr the only way to post? Thanks, Gary

Yes, these are specific to Flickr, but in principle apply to any photo sharing site. The forum will link to photos that are posted anywhere on the Internet, but you do not "upload" to it, only link to it.

You can use simple html in your post, so the "img" tag is the primary way to do this. The instructions for Flickr use their "embed HTML", which does a few extra things (like resize) but boils down to an "img" tag.

What site are you trying to post from? If you have the URL to the photo, I can show you how to post it here.
