Problem buying a Coolpix S7000 in the UK

Hi, does anyone know why I am having problems buying a Nikon Coolpix S7000 in the UK? No-one has any stocks which seems odd. Are here plans to replace the model?
Also, the list price of these non-existent models has gone up by £30 in the few months since my husband bought his and again I wondered if anyone had any idea why?

    Loads of them on e bay as low as £119... click and collect at Argos if you want ...don't see a problem.

    I think there is a kind of replacement model on the way.. its delayed due to the earthquake in japan.. name change though.. I think the "replacement" may be the Coolpix A900... they added flip-screen and snap-bridge... quite nice :-)

    Lots of other quite significant improvements too ..
