I have been looking around at second stuff.. and I see quite a few interesting lenses that use the old M42 screw mount.
Will they fit on Nikon DSLR? ie is it possible to have an adaptor to mount/use them on Nikon DSLR cameras ?

?? what does the AF confirm chipping do? Surely its all manual focus and there is no way the adapter can know if something is in focus.... right?
BTW thanks for the quick and accurate reply !!

Wrong it works the focus sensor behind the mirror ..When you turn the focus the green dot bottom left comes on if its in focus..You can use all your modes ( not just manual) and if its a wide lens set at say f8 you don't even bother to focus ...similar to what you get on a Samyang 14mm.It fools the lens into thinking its a Nikon lens but you don't have a focus feeler as the aperture is pin operated on a M42 As its so cheap and you only need one I would go with the AF Confirm adaptor.
Nice to know an old dog can teach an old dog new tricks ..ha ha

I use some "film era " lenses and find that you need to set the picture control to contrast +3 or in PP
