I'm trying to get my stuff together for a project and 5 months of travel next year. As we'll be taking our newborn along, of course, space and weight are of the essence.
So that should in effect rule out taking the D800, but still, my question is in favor of exactly that (bring the best quality).
I was wondering, has anyone heard of or, better still, used the new Irix 15mm f2.4 lens? I'm looking for a good and smallish wide angle; still considering the Sigma 20/1.4, but it is big and heavy, just as my aging N17-35/2.8.
This here test says the Irix is pretty decent Irix test at Lens Tip
I very rarely shoot the N17-35 at the long end, so switching to a prime should suit me, plus the Irix is roughly half the Nikon's weight.
Thankful for anyone's first hand experience or opinion :-)
