Horrible ..not sharp and poor contrast

A friend gave me his camera to put in my safe while he went on holiday ( ??? ) Could not resist the temptation to try it ...Large JPEG sharp at max ( 4 ) just horrible ..unusable ...anybody got any ideas ....oh yes Canon 5D mk 2 24-105 f4 L

It's a 5D MKII (crappy AF) and the 24-105mm F4L (soft as butter), no worse combo out there.

Don't know the 24-105, but tried a 5D mkii with 24-70 and it was gorgeous... anyway, most of my pictures taken from inside of a safe end up looking pretty bad ;-P

I just love the people on here ....soft lens ..now I know why the guy shoots at f11 in his studio ...product shots..the lens is so soft its difficult to tell whats in focus when doing focus adjust with a ruler..glad I did not go canon in the 70's

Well I got it as right as any 20MP camera ..the fine focus was way off and the sharpness was down....it reminded me of a D7000
Nikon Rules ..well it might if it gets its head of of it a$$ for 2017
